We connect students to caring adults and vital resources, helping them stay in school, overcome obstacles, and achieve a brighter future.
We help every student see their potential so they can fearlessly unlock it in ways big and small.
We amplify the power of each student’s potential by fostering transformative relationships in their lives.
We empower students to break through any personal challenges in their lives so they can define the future they want.
CIS of the South Plains works inside schools to connect students with caring adults and critical resources. We help remove barriers to success so every student can stay in school and reach their full potential.
Through Communities in Schools of the South Plains®, children receive the support, tools, and resources to succeed.
Through consistent support, we improve student attendance, academic performance, grade-level promotion graduation and career readiness.
From financial literacy and career exploration to anti-bullying programs, our schools provide necessary support to ensure that students have the resources they need to excel.
Provide students with a safe place to go during non-school hours for extended learning and enrichment activities.
From backpacks to basic needs, we ensure that students and their families have the supplies and resources that they need to succeed in the classroom and beyond.
Our services help meet students’ needs holistically—so their teachers can stay focused on delivering quality education.
Students gain access to academic, emotional, and essential support through a seamless, school-based system.
We help students access emotional and mental health support to overcome obstacles to put them on a path for a better future.

In the words of Communities In Schools’® founder Bill Milliken:
“Programs don’t change kids – relationships do.”
At Communities In Schools of the South Plains®, we surround students with a community of support, empowering them to stay in school and achieve in life.
Together, we nurture a welcoming, empathetic culture that celebrates the differences brought by our students, families, alumni, board members, employees, partners, and the communities we serve. Our community fuels our innovation, strengthening our commitment to build a path to education for future generations.
LaceUp 806 is a passion project supporting and funding educational opportunities provided by Communities in Schools of the South Plains®. Each year, we bring our community together for a night of fundraising and fun to benefit thousands of local students. Together, we raise essential funds to support and empower children both in school and in life.
We are a non-profit network of passionate professionals working directly with South Plains school districts to surround students with a community of support, empowering them to stay in school and achieve in life.
A donation to CIS® is an investment in the future of our community. For less than $500 per child per year, we are able to keep 100% of the young people we serve in school and on track to graduation!
