December 18, 2024 – Atmos Energy has big plans to support their local communities in 2024 showcased by their recent donation of $10,000.00 to Communities In Schools of the South Plains®. The Fueling Safe and Thriving Communities program is the cornerstone of Atmos’ commitment to their customers. Helping local students is one of the program’s three primary areas of support. Representatives from Amarillo traveled to Lubbock to meet with Communities In Schools’ CEO, Kenna West, and their team to present a check. The formal check presentation was on Wednesday, December 18, 2024 at 9:00 AM. The check presentation took place at the Communities In Schools of the South Plains® Administration Office – 1946 Avenue Q, Third Floor, Lubbock, TX 79411.
Atmos Energy representatives, Michael Gonzales of Amarillo, Brandi Price of Lubbock, and Andrea Goodson of Permian Basin, worked together to make the joint funding decision to support Communities In Schools of the South Plains®. The CIS® mission to surround students with a community of support empowering them to stay in school and achieve in life aligns perfectly with Atmos’ quest to “fuel bright minds and healthy future for kids.”
Communities In Schools of the South Plains® is extremely grateful for this opportunity to partner with Atmos Energy to provide support for students across the South Plains.
